Physical Therapy

What is Physical Therapy?

If you have chronic lower back pain, twisted your ankle on the cobble stones or had knee surgery, physical therapy will get your body back on track. Physical therapy will increase the range of motion for your joints, improve muscle strength, control edema, reduce pain and improve functional mobility. Do not let pain slow your life down. Call for an evaluation today!

Who can benefit from Physical Therapy?
Anyone with musculoskeletal or neurological pain can benefit from physical therapy. Whether you are in the trades and the daily work load has taken a toll on your lower back or you strained a quadriceps on your bike, physical therapy can eliminate your discomfort.

How many sessions will I need?
After a detailed assessment, the therapist will make a treatment plan with the specific number of sessions necessary to alleviate your problem. The number of sessions will be dependent on the severity of the injury. We recommend coming for an evaluation as soon as possible after an injury…the sooner you take care of the problem the sooner you will be painfree.

What can I expect from a Treatment?
You can expect overall reduction in your pain. You will also gain a better understanding of your anatomy, physiology and your pathology. At your initial appointment, you will complete a health history form.  Next you will receive a thorough hands-on evaluation to assess posture, joint range of motion, muscle spasm, coordination, motor control, strength, endurance, swelling and gait mechanics.  The therapist will identify your deficits. A treatment plan and goals will be established to meet your specific needs. You will be taught how to complete exercises to properly gain strength and mobility. You will also be advised in proper posture and body mechanics as rendered.

Insurance Coverage
We do not except insurance.  If you have a script from your physician, we will give you an invoice with proper coding which you can submit to your insurance company.

We can not guarantee coverage even with a physician’s order; please contact your insurance company for their specific regulations prior to your first visit.
